[risposta privata: meglio non divulgare...] A proposito di questo assurdo concerto, ecco cosa scrive Justin Greaves nello spazio miospazio dei Crippled: "....Which was the reason we were really late getting to the next gig in Montebelluna. We crossed the alps for the first time on this tour, very nice, then raced across north Italy. past the stink of Venice, into the dark countryside encountering one of the best and most vicious storms we have seen, i only wish there were sharks to go with it.....imagine that. So, we thought we were lost beyond redemption but behold, we eventually get to the village/town and spotted the venue, the van turns into the alleyway to find hordes of waiting punters already tanked up to the eyeballs, banging on the van.....this was not going to be the usual type of gig, the show was held outside under a metal barn roof on the dirt floor. It was immense, this had to be my favourite show in years, we maybe didn't show it too much though due to the lack of sleep and stress of rushing to get set up then waiting because of power problems with the P.A....but i thought it was a proper grass roots show, the kind i have missed for several long years. Thanks go to the promoters for keeping the fires lit and feeding us in the early hours after the set. We didn't play the full setlist but we have promised to return there for a very special show to say thanks and make up for the very late arrival this time. I look forward to it." L'espressione "orrenda falange di pubescenti" è di quelle che uso ancora volentieri. Così come il racconto della vecchina e del puzzle. Difficile, in effetti, separare nel giudizio la componente adolescenziale-nostalgica da quella critico-obiettiva...

E bentornato marco. Ho capito che babalot, con 27 canzoni in 54 minuti, è solo un pivello...:)

Ah, su questo non c'è dubbio: inter campione de sta cippa. Sì, immagino che seguiranno altre recensioni, ma è come da mike: la prima è quella che conta.

Visto che oggi sono povero di parole, ho cercato qualcuno da citare. E cito il sobrio e condivisibile vitalogy. Aggiungo che gli ultimi due paragrafi della recensione la rendono un po' (inutilmente) contorta e masturbatoria, in particolare l'idea che tu abbia recensito questo disco solo per rubarlo agli altri, come faceva l'inter nelle campagne acquisti di qualche anno fa...

I Portishead sono da qualche mese in studio nell'ennesimo tentativo di registrare il terzo disco. Ci provano da dieci anni. Nella loro pagina di myspace tengono ironicamente aggiornati i propri fan sui continui intoppi e sulla loro sostanziale inettitudine. Ce la faranno i nostri eroi?...

Ammazza che recensionona! Sì, il senso del disco è colto in pieno: pulito, curatissimo, impeccabile, maturo. Noone would riot for less su tutte. Quel pizzico di sana e domestica rozzezza in meno rispetto al solito oberst, però, mi lascia un'impressione un po' più fredda del vecchio (giovane) conor: 3,5.

Sì, non è un caso che all'ultimo disco (da recensire! anche se, rispetto a questo, è minore) abbiano collaborato david bowie e lou reed. insomma, mica gli ultimi dei fessi. Gran bella band, gran bell'album.
