03 Shattered in Aspect (04:09)
It's time to let go Time to spend some time alone
Farbeit to explain what has been done and what is illusion
We have outlived ourselves By many a ruined year
The future ripped from a tattered page
Like the violence in dream-dead eyes The reflection of a thousand tangled views
Cause and Effect
Like the diamond that cuts the light
The radiation from a single mind
We could outlive ourselves
Acting out a tedious wish long fulfilled
Over and over and over again
It's time to let go Time to spend some time alone
Reconsider what could be doneUnbind the imagination
We're ready for a new age of innocence
05 Patience Worth (03:42)
So you've returned to lengthen my shadow
To once again shatter my windows
What a child will feel
When the home is hell
Hands loom and fall
Waiting for the pen to move
With arms too wide to hold just one
Too small to heal the world Go on
Were it but words that called me home
Relayed the dream that beckoned you beyond
Every injured soul
Needs a silent hand to hold
Someone to break
Pleading for the heart to hate
Hell is an empty house haunted by a child's voice
08 Through the Pale Door (04:09)
Welcome my dear please take my hand
It's wonderful here it's really quite grand
The moment still, await the hour
The Masquerade for Time's dead flowers
Dancing and reeling
We move beneath shadows
We've hung from the ceiling
All memory receding
Take leave of reason
In step with the bleeding
Chapter & Verse the lyric takes flight
Red is the day as red is the night
The hours pass, the years expire
The dance goes on, we spin on fire
Laughing and screaming
A wide-awake nightmare
Diseased and believing
In mourning-deceiving
Ever in motion and ever in grieving
Welcome my dear please take my hand
It's wonderful here it's really quite grand
Dancing and reeling
We move beneath shadows
We've hung from the ceiling
All memory receding
Take leave of reason
In step with the bleeding
Shadows now descending
To join in the Madness
The song never-ending
Wounds never mending
Wretched in countenance
The fear now transcending
12 Importune Me No More (03:45)
When I was fair and young, and favor graced me
Of many was I sought their mistress for to be
But I did scorn them all, and answered them therefore
Go, go, seek some otherwhere Importune Me No more
How many weeping eyes I made to pine with woe
How many sighing hearts, I have no skill to show
Yet I the prouder grew and answered them therefore
Go, go, seek some otherwhere Importune Me No more
Then spake fair Venus' son, that proud victorious boy,
Who said "Fine dame, in consequence that you have been so coy
I will pluck thy plumes therefore you shall say no more
Go, go, seek some otherwhere Importune Me No more!"
Eftsoones he spake these words, such change grew in my breast
That neither night nor day since then, I could take any rest
Then Lo! I did repent that I had spoken before
Go, go, seek some otherwhere Importune Me No more
Go, go, seek some otherwhere Importune Me No more
13 Reine la belle (04:31)
Should I let me guide me All that lies before me
And If I lay beauty before me and above me
And If I lay beauty behind me and below me
Is that wrong of me To escape these surroundings
Agony is the moment created Redefined and riveted
And If I lay beauty behind me and below me
And If I lay beauty before me and above me
Is that wrong of me Is that wrong of me
Syllables to coat the cracks where Memory shatters without language
Beauty lies before me Beauty lies above me Beauty lies behind me Beauty lies beneath me
Is that wrong of me To escape these surroundings
Belief remains The mind ultimately reigns
