Tre accordi, zero fronzoli.

Appassionata.
"Black Magic Woman" è Black Magic Woman. "Oh Well" ha un riff che Tom Morello si sta cagando addosso. "Jumping At Shadows" è struggente, sincera e disarmante. "Red Hot Mama" è piena di vita. "Man Of The World" è un po' patetica, ma se leggete la biografia di Peter Green forse capirete perché.

01   Black Magic Woman (06:08)

Written by Peter Green.

Got a black magic woman
I got a black magic woman
Yes, I got a black magic woman
Got me so blind I can't see
But she's a black magic woman
And she's tryin' to make a devil out of me

Don't turn your back on me baby
Don't turn your back on me baby
Yes, don't turn your back on me baby
You're messin' around with your tricks
Don't turn your back on me baby
'Cause you might just break up my magic stick

break:

You got your spell on me baby
You got your spell on me baby
Yes, you got your spell on me baby
You're turning my heart into stone
I need you so bad, magic woman, I can't leave you alone

Yes, I need you so bad
Well, I need you darling
Yeah, I need you darling
Yes, I want you love me
I want you love me
Whoa, I want you love me, ah
Whoh, yeah
Oh, whoa, baby
Yes, I need your love
Oh, I need your love so bad
I want you love me

02   Madison Blues (04:53)

03   The Green Manalishi (07:31)

04   Jumping at Shadows (04:54)

Now, what can you say - there isn't much to tell
But I'm going down hill, but I blame myself
I've been - jumpin' at shadows, thinkin' - about my life

Now, everybody - they point their hand at me
but I know I'm just a picture - of what I could have been
I've been jumping at shadows, thinkin' about my life

break:

Now, God, have mercy - 'cause I think I'm going insane
The devil's been gettin' at me - he's got me down again
I've been - jumpin' at shadows
Thinkin', oh, about my life

05   Red Hot Mamma (04:15)

06   Oh Well (03:04)

Can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I aint pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

Now when I talk to God
I know he understands
He said "stick by me and I'll be your guiding hand"
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

07   Sandy Mary (05:14)

There's a girl I love, Sandy Mary is her name
There's a girl I love, Sandy Mary is her name
She got those bony bare looks
Enough to drive a vegetarian insane

She do not read so well, made the teacher go back to school
Do not read so well, make the teacher go back to school
A bony bare baby, yes, and I'm her bony bare fool

When we're lovin' - Sandy Mary
Get so high - feel so ready

Hold me baby - hold me darling
Feel my love come, to you fallin'
Hold me baby - hold me darling

Hold me baby - hold me darling
Feel my love come to you fallin', now

Sandy Mary, Sandy Mary -
Now, baby, you're the one for me, yeah
Sandy Mary, Sandy Mary -
Now, baby, you're the one for me
You got just what it takes
To make a flesh-eater out of me, yeah

break:

When we're lovin' - Sandy Mary
I get so high - feel so ready

Hold me baby - hold me darling
Feel my love come, to you fallin'
Hold me baby - hold me darling

Hold me baby - hold me darling

Hold me baby - hold me darling

08   Rattle Snake Shake (24:25)

09   Got to Move (03:51)

Written by Homesick James Williamson.

You've got to move, you can't stay here no more
You've got to move, you can't stay here no more, oh yes
You're my baby, I love you so,
but, still you've got to go - away from here

You won't cook, you won't wash
You won't iron, you won't sew
Oh, no, you won't even scrub the floor
You're my baby, I love you so,
but, still you've got to go - away from here

Well, I'd rather be dead and in my grave
Then to see another man here to take my place
Oh, yes, you've got to move, yeah
You're my baby, I love you so,
but still you've got to go away from here

break:

Well, I'd rather be dead and in my grave
Then to see another man here to take my place
Umm, yes, you've got to move, yeah
You're my baby, I love you so,
but still you've got to go away from here

You got to move, away from here
Oh, yes, you got to move, away from here
You're my baby, I love you so
But still you've got to go away from here

Let's bring it out now

10   Like It This Way (04:21)

11   Teenage Darling (04:22)

12   Man of the World (02:50)

Written by Peter Green.

Shall I tell you about my life
They say I'm a man of the world
I've flown across every tide
And I've seen lots of pretty girls

I guess I've got everything I need
I would't ask for more
And there's no one I'd rather be
But I just wish that I'd never been born

break:

And I need a good woman
to make me feel like a good man should
I don't say I'm a good man
Oh, but I would be if I could

I could tell you about my life
And keep you amused I'm sure
About all the times I've cried
And how I don't want to be sad anymore
And how I wish I was in love
