L'anno è il 2052.
È appena terminato il campionato mondiale di astronavi da corsa. L'anziano senatore Chainsaw è invitato come ospite esterno all'inaugurazione di un museo del Tardo Novecento. L'onorevole Chainsaw è uno dei padre costituente della Quarta Repubblica Italiana, nata dalle ceneri della Terza Guerra Mondiale.
La guerra era scoppiata quando il presidente degli Stati Uniti Kanye West, che aveva riportato gli USA alle proprie radici parlamentari dopo il lungo regno di Donald Trump, aveva scoperto che il resto del mondo non era interessato al dibattito che stava dilaniando la società statunitense ormai da anni. I disordini erano sorti in seguito all'assegnazione del premio Oscar per il migliore attore ad Adam Sandler, che aveva interpretato uno struggente maggiordomo Alfred ormai prossimo alla senilità in Batman Vs. Alien 4: Rise of the Machines, diretto da Wes Anderson. Da quando Mark von Zuckerberg aveva unito nel 2020 Facebook, Twitter e Instagram in unico social network, Leviathan, quelle legate allo spettacolo erano le uniche questioni che riuscivano a infuocare le platee di una superpotenza ormai in collasso. Il dibattito verteva sulla composizione della giuria dell'Academy, che era composta da membri scelti con quel metodo maggioritario, nel frattempo sostituito dal proporzionale. Il timore dei liberali era che a causa di ciò l'Oscar ad Adam Sandler sarebbe potuto essere offensivo per le minoranze etniche e la comunità LGBT. Il timore dei repubblicani non si era capito bene ma aveva a che fare con i musulmani.
La guerra si era fortunatamente conclusa con la sconfitta del Male: il Messico aveva riannesso i territori persi con il trattato di Guadalupe Hidalgo, la Russia era governata da una socialdemocrazia di stampo scandinavo, il Regno Unito viveva una nuova epoca vittoriana di splendore (per fronteggiare i danni della Brexit aveva dovuto riannettere Canada e Australia) e l'Unione Europea era forte che mai grazie alla guida degli Imperi Centrali (la casa d'Asburgo aveva infatti riunito i propri antichi possedimenti e la Germania aveva reinsediato gli Hohenzollern). La vittoria europea era però stata ottenuta a caro prezzo: specialmente in Italia, dove nel 2043 la guerra civile aveva diviso il Paese tra le armate di replicanti umanoidi guidati da Beppe Grillo e la Repubblica Sociale D'Alemiana. La frattura era stata ricomposta solo a fatica, e con la democrazia aveva fatto ritorno anche la prosperità.
Terminate le gare di hovercraft, l'anziano senatore Chainsaw, dal palco montato sotto il monumento equestre a Craxi davanti al Vittoriale degli Italiani di Rignano sull'Arno, terminava il proprio discorso ai giovani.
"Compagni, cittadini, fratelli, partigiani, ma sopratutto voi, cari ragazzi che sarete la classe dirigente del domani, che vi chiedete quale sia la Cultura che ha formato noi vecchi partigiani, noi eroi della nuova democrazia che abbiamo trionfato sull'odio, i particolarismi e la post-verità ed estirpato quelle piaghe che flagellavano il Bel Paese un tempo note come Striscia la Notizia, il festival di Sanremo e gli youtubers. Questo Museo è per voi, affinché possiate abbeverarvi alla stessa fonte di saggezza che ha reso noi nati negli ultimi tre decenni del Novecento in grado di far trionfare le forze del Bene".
La biblioteca del museo era organizzata per permettere ai giovani di entrare in contatto con la grande cultura novecentesca, ovvero:
-film anni '80 dove si spara
-film anni '70 con gente come Richard Burton e Clint Eastwood che devono entrare in castelli pieno di nazisti
-musica elettronica anni '90
Terminato il discorso, con la voce rotta dall'emozione, il senatore cedette il posto sul palco al maestro di cerimonia, dirigente locale della Nuova Democrazia Cristiana. Si spengono le luci, s'ingoiano le paste e dalle casse erompe la musica.
Ebbene sì, cari amici debaserioti del futuro: l'elettronica idiota degli anni Novanta è ciò che renderà grande la classe dirigente del domani. E se devo pensare a Musica che Spacca per un Film Serio non posso che pensare a questa roba qua. Risotto dei Fluke è uscito nel 1997 ed è composto da canzoni che avrete già sentito in cose che dovrebbero aver segnato la vostra gioventù come:
-Le colonne sonore di filmacci buzzurri come Matrix Reloaded, Tomb Raider e Sin City
-Quel capolavoro assoluto di colonna sonora di Wipeout XL
-La colonna sonora di un paio di Need for Speed Underground
-Qualche pubblicità in giro per la televisione.
Techno d'atmosfera, ma adatta anche per le vostre serate più zarre, vicina a quella cosa che all'epoca si chiamava breakbeat o big beat.
Ovviamente anche in questo caso le canzoni non famose del disco sono generalmente abbastanza dimenticabili.
