Siamo nell 2002 quando i Freedom Call danno alla luce Eternity, ottimo album che segue al mini-cd "Taragon" e a "Crystal Empire".Un album più maturo ma soprattutto più coinvolgente dei loro primi due lavori.
Il disco si apre con Metal Invasion gioco di parole per il live realizzato 2 anni dopo (Live Invasion) ma soprattutto come tutte le prime canzoni di un album dei Freedom Call un vero inno dedicato al fantasy con riff che ricordano le atmosfere fantastiche. Si prosegue con The Eyes Of The World scandita come sempre dall'ottima prova dietro le pelli di Zimmermann. In successione arriva Flying High canzone coinvolgente ed un ottimo ritornello cantato da tutta la band, stupenda anche Land Of Light altro inno al power metal. Come un altro inno lo è Warriors che inizialmente è strumentale (per pochi secondi) per essere cantata in coro e poi sfocia in tutta la sua bellezza. Ma secondo me la sesta traccia la più bella e interessante cioè Ages Of Power introdotta da un intro di tastiera per poi passare ai soliti 4 minuti e mezzo di canzone tiratissima con Dan che non sbaglia un colpo.
Si susseguono Turn Back Time, Island Of Dreams e The Spell, quest'ultima piccola introduzione con cori medioevali per arrivare a Bleeding Heart splendida song in cui si alternano ottimamente chitarra e tastiera per una canzone davvero ben riuscita.L'album si conclude con Flame In Th Night forse un po' troppo ripetitiva nel ritornello ma comunque efficace e carina.
Da sottolineare gli ottimi passi in avanti fatti dalla band tedesca e i complimenti al cantante Chris Bay che anche se non possiede un'ottima voce da comunque una grande prova.Un disco che per gli amanti del genere non deve mancare.
