"Dad Loves His Work" è del 1981. Un disco veramente riuscito.
Le migliori: "Hard Times", canzone d'apertura con uno splendido coretto nel ritornello che la rende molto orecchiabile, "Her Town Too" pezzo delicato e dolce, forse il migliore dell'album, non manca la classica tayloriana "I Will Follow" sulla forza dell'amore, la splendida ballata "Belive It Or Not", l'insolito rock potente e trascinante di "Stand And Fight"; Ancora le commoventi reminiscenze di un antico viaggio in "London Town" (città dove Taylor registrò il suo primo album per la Apple dei Beatles). Taylor ripercorre le strade della capitale inglese cercando di ricordare e rimpiangendo l'uomo che egli era una decina di anni prima, quando si trovava proprio a Londra. Da non dimenticare la tranquillità felice e la semplicità di "Summer's Here".
In ultimo il meraviglioso e riflessivo pezzo conclusivo dell'album "That Lonesome Road" eseguito a cappella, che ad ogni ascolto mi lascia senza fiato.
Da quest'ultima:

Un album al quale Taylor non chiede troppo, non pretende nulla di più, fa solamente ciò che sa fare, e ne escono melodie splendide, niente va oltre le righe ed è anche per questo che è bellissimo.
