Carnivore è una band thrash/crossover di Brooklyn fondata da Peter Steele nei primi anni ’80. Hanno pubblicato due album in studio, Carnivore (1985) e Retaliation (1987), noti per l’impatto feroce e le liriche post‑apocalittiche e provocatorie. Steele fonderà poi i Type O Negative.
