Ho passato l'infanzia cercando di capire il destino dell'omino di Defender una volta che lo avevi liberato dal rapimento alieno e, se questo gioco, avesse una cazzo di senso e di fine.

Ho scardinato, armato di profonda delinquenza, centinaia di tibie a Sensible Soccer, ma in età adulta, l'idea di ritrovarmi a masturbare joypad mi intristiva un pochino.

Per inerzia, una Playstation a casa c'è sempre e in due occasioni, dieci anni fa, ci sono cascato. In quella console sono entrati soltanto due giochi. Il primo era The Sims 2: un viaggio nel fulcro della de-evoluzione.

E, non a caso, quelle musichette un po' Muzak, un po' TSO, sono di Mothersbourg dei Devo.

L'altro gioco era True Crime: New York City, un titolo che non ha mai ricevuto il giusto consenso, impietosamente surclassato dai vari GTA.

È la storia di un poliziotto del ghetto che prima era un malavitoso e poi si ravvede ma non del tutto, nel senso che se vuoi, puoi farlo diventare un poliziotto vestito da pappone che estorce denaro al cinese del supermarket. Sta a te decidere se fargli completare la missione o metterlo sopra un camion e lanciarlo a cento all'ora su un marciapiede pieno di gente. Confesso che dopo il tragico evento di Nizza, mi sono domandato spesso se l'autore di quel gesto si fosse formato con uno di quei giochi 18+ e non in qualche campo di addestramento. Il gioco si svolge a Manhattan ricostruita in GPS e ogni tanto portavo il povero Marcus (il protagonista), nei pressi della statua della libertà per farlo morire suicida in mare. A volte lo mettevo sopra un auto per fargli girare tutta Mahattan con l'autoradio accesa. Perché se c'è una cosa che ha reso questa esperienza ludica indimenticabile,è proprio la tracklist di True Crime: old school rap e masterpiece da CBGB, nuovi virgulti rap, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs e, anche qui, un po' di Muzak da ascensore e kmart.

E questa è la lista. Se conoscete un gioco che ne ha una migliore di questa, fatemelo sapere, che sono ancora in tempo per continuare a darmi del deficiente davanti a un videogioco.
