A Little South of Sanity".
Almeno ascoltando questo cd, perchè "Rockin the Joint" mi smentirà.

01 Eat the Rich (05:14)
Wake up kid, it's half past your youth
Ain't nothin' really changin' but the date
You a grand slammer, but you no Babe Ruth
You gotta learn how to relate
Or you'll be swingin' from the pearly gate
Ah, got all the answers, lo' and behold
You got the right key baby but the wrong key hole, yo
Well I woke up this morning
On the wrong side of the bed
And how I got to thinkin'
About all those things you said
About ordinary people
And how they make you sick
And if callin' names kicks back on you
Then I hope this does the trick
'Cause I'm sick of your complainin'
About how many bills
And I'm sick of all your bitchin'
'Bout your poodles and your pills
And I just can't see no humor
About your way of life
And I think I can do more for you
With this here fork and knife
Eat the rich
There's only one thing that they're good for
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, come back for more
Eat the rich
I gotta get this off my chest
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, spit out the rest
So I called up my head shrinker
And told him what I done
He said, "You best go on a diet"
Yeah I hope you have some fun
And a don't go burst a bubble
On rich folk who get rude
'Cause you won't get in no trouble
When you eats that kind of food
Now they're smoking up their junk bonds
And then they go get stiff
And they're dancing at the yacht club
With Muff and Uncle Biff
But there's one good thing that happens
When you toss your pearls to swine
Their attitudes may taste like shit
But go real good with wine
Eat the rich
There's only one thing that they're good for
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, come back for more
Eat the rich
I gotta get this off my chest
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, spit out the rest
Believe in all the good things
That money just can't buy
Then you won't get no bellyache
From eatin' humble pie
I believe in rags to riches
Your inheritance won't last
So take your Grey Poupon my friend
And shove it up your ass
Eat the rich
There's only one thing that they're good for
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, come back for more
Eat the rich
I gotta get this off my chest
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, spit out the rest
Eat the rich
There's only one thing that they're good for
Eat the rich
Take one bite now, come back for more
Eat the rich
Don't stop me now I'm goin' crazy
Eat the rich
That's my idea of a good time baby
02 Love in an Elevator (05:55)
"Second floor: hardware, children's wear, ladies' lingerie. Oh! Good morning, Mr. Tyler. Going... down?"
Yeah!
Workin' like a dog for the bossman (Whoa)
Workin' for the company (Whoa yeah)
I'm bettin' on the dice I'm tossin' (Whoa)
I'm gonna have a fantasy (Whoa yeah)
But where am I gonna look?
They tell me that love is blind
I really need a girl like an opened book
To read between the lines
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in a elevator
Lovin' it up 'til I hit the ground
Shaggin' in the elevator (Whoa)
Lingerie - second floor (Whoa yeah)
She said, "Can I see you later (Whoa)
And love you just a little more?" (Whoa yeah)
I kinda hope we get stuck
Nobody gets out of line
She said, "I'll show you how to fax in the mail room, honey
And have you home by five"
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up 'til I hit the ground
In the air, in the air
Honey one more time, now it ain't fair
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in an...
E-le-va-tor
Going down
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I hit the ground
Gonna be a penthouse pauper (Whoa)
Gonna be a millionaire (Whoa yeah)
I'm gonna be a real fast talker (Whoa)
And have me a love affair (Whoa yeah)
Gotta get my timin' right (Whoa)
It's a test that I gotta pass (Whoa yeah)
I'll chase you all the way to the stairway, honey (Whoa)
And kiss your sassafras
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up when I'm goin' down
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up 'til I hit the ground
Do you care? Do you care?
Honey one more time, now it ain't fair
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
Do you care? Do you care?
Honey one more time, now it ain't fair
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
In the air, in the air
Honey one more time, one more
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
In the air, in the air
Honey one more time, one more
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
In the air, in the air
Honey one more time, one more
Love in an elevator
Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down
In the air, in the air
In the air, in the air
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up when I'm going down
04 Same Old Song and Dance (05:57)
Get yourself a cooler lay yourself low
Coincidental murder with nothing to show
The judge constipation will go to his head
And his wife's aggravation you're soon enough dead
It's the same old story
Same old song and dance my friend... sing it
(It's the same old story)
(Same old song and dance my friend)
Yeah... gotcha with the cocaine they found wit'chor gun
No smoothy face lawyer to get'cha undone
You say love ain't the same on the south side of town
You could look but you ain't gonna find it around
Same old story
Same old song and dance my friend
It's the same old story
Same old story same old song and dance
Listen... When your fate starts knockin'
Doors start lockin'
Your old time connection
Change your direction
You ain't gonna change it
Can't rearrange it
Can't stand the pain when
It's all the same to you my friend
Yeah it's true... my friend.... wak gi gi goa
Come on come on come on come on... yeah
When you're low down and dirty from walkin' the street
Wit'chor old hurdy gurdy and no one to meet
You say love ain't the same the south side a town
You could look but you ain't gonna find it around
Same old story
Same old song and dance my friend
It's the same old story
Same old story same old song and dance... eah yeah eah yeah...
05 Hole in My Soul (05:40)
I'm down a one-way street, with a one-night stand
With a one track mind, out in no-man's land
The punishment sometimes don't seem to fit the crime
Yeah, there's a hole in my soul, but one thing I've learned
For every love letter written, there's another one burned
So you tell me how it's gonna be this time
Is it over?
Is it over?
'Cause I'm blowin' out the flame
Take a walk outside your mind
Tell me how it feels to be
The one who turns the knife inside of me
Take a look and you will find
Is nothing there girl, yeah I swear
I'm telling you girl yeah
'Cause there's a hole in my soul
That's been killing me forever
It's a place where a garden never grows
There's a hole in my soul
Yeah, I should have known better
'Cause your love's like a thorn without a rose
Yeah, yeah
I'm as dry as a seven-year drought
I got dust for tears and I'm all tapped out
Sometimes I feel broke and can't get fixed
I know there's been all kinds of shoes underneath your bed
Now I sleep with my boots on but you're still in my head
Something tells me this time I'm down to my last licks
'Cause if it's over
Then it's over
And it's driving me insane
Take a walk outside your mind
Tell me how it feels to be
The one who turns the knife inside of me
Take a look and you will find
Is nothing there girl, yeah I swear
I'm telling you girl, yeah
'Cause there's a hole in my soul
That's been killing me forever
It's a place where a garden never grows
There's a hole in my soul
Yeah, I should have known better
'Cause your love's like a thorn without a rose
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, is it over?
'Cause it's over
And I'm blowin' out the flame
Take a walk outside your mind
Tell me how it feels to be
The one who turns the knife inside of me
Take a look and you will find
There's nothing there girl, yeah I swear
I'm telling you girl, yeah
'Cause there's a hole in my soul
That's been killing me forever
It's a place where a garden never grows
There's a hole in my soul
Yeah, I should have known better
'Cause your love's like a thorn without a rose
Yeah, yeah
07 Livin' on the Edge (05:24)
There's something wrong with the world today
I don't know what it is
Something's wrong with our eyes
We're seeing things in a different way
And God knows it ain't His
It sure ain't no surprise
We're livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
There's something wrong with the world today
The light bulb's getting dim
There's meltdown in the sky
If you can judge a wise man
By the color of his skin
Then mister, you're a better man than I
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself at all)
Livin' on the edge (You can't stop yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge
Tell me what you think about your situation
Complication, aggravation is getting to you
If chicken little tells you that the sky is fallin'
And even if it wasn't would you still come crawlin' back again?
I bet you would my friend
Again and again and again and again and again
Tell me what you think about your situation
Complication, aggravation is getting to you
If chicken little tells you that the sky is fallin'
And even if it wasn't would you still come crawlin' back again?
I bet you would my friend
Again and again and again and again
There's something right with the world today
And everybody knows it's wrong
But we can tell them no or we can let it go
But I would rather be hangin' on
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself at all)
Livin' on the edge (You can't stop yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself at all)
Livin' on the edge (You can't stop yourself from fallin')
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself, you can't help yourself)
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself at all)
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself, you can't help yourself)
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself, you can't help yourself)
Livin' on the edge (You can't help yourself from fall)
Livin' on the edge
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
08 Cryin' (05:10)
There was a time
When I was so brokenhearted
Love wasn't much of a friend of mine
The tables have turned, yeah
'Cause me and them ways have parted
That kind of love was the killin' kind
Listen
All I want is someone I can't resist
I know all I need to know by the way that I got kissed
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm tryin' to forget you
Your love is sweet misery
I was cryin' just to get you
Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you
Do what you do down on me
Now there's not even breathin' room
Between pleasure and pain
Yeah, you cry when we're makin' love
Must be one and the same
It's down on me
Yeah, I got to tell you one thing
It's been on my mind
Girl, I gotta say
We're partners in crime
You got that certain something
What you give to me
Takes my breath away
Now the word out on the street
Is the devil's in your kiss
If our love goes up in flames
It's a fire I can't resist
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm tryin' to forget you
Your love is sweet misery
I was cryin' just to get you
Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you
Do what you do to me
'Cause what you got inside
Ain't where your love should stay
Yeah, our love, sweet love, ain't love
'Til you give your heart away
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm tryin' to forget you
Your love is sweet misery
I was cryin' just to get you
Now I'm dyin' to let you
Do what you do what you do down to, baby, baby, baby, baby
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm tryin' to forget you
Your love is sweet misery
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you
Do what you do down to, baby, baby, baby, baby
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you
Your love is sweet misery
I was cryin' when I met you
Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you
09 Rag Doll (04:13)
Rag doll, livin' in a movie
Hot tramp, daddy's little cutie
You're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy
Don't mind, come on up and see me
Rag doll, baby won't you do me
Like you done before
I'm feelin' like a bad boy
Mmm, just like a bad boy
I'm rippin' up a rag doll
Like throwing away an old toy
Some babe's talkin' real loud
Talkin' all about the new crowd
Try and sell me on an old dream
A new version of the old scene
Speak easy on the grapevine
Keep shufflin' in the shoe shine
Old Tin Lizzie, do it till you're dizzy
Give it all ya got until you're put out of your misery
Rag doll, livin' in a movie
Hot tramp, daddy's little cutie
You're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy
Don't mind, come on up and see me
Rag doll, baby won't you do me
Like you done before
Yes I'm movin', yes I'm movin'
Get ready for the big time
Tap dancing on a land mine
Yes I'm movin', yes I'm movin'
Old Tin Lizzie, do it till you're dizzy
Give it all ya got until you're put out of your misery
Rag doll, livin' in a movie
Hot tramp, daddy's little cutie
You're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy
Don't mind, come on up and see me
Rag doll, baby won't you do me
Baby won't you do me
Baby won't you do me
Like you done before
Yes I'm movin', yes I'm movin'
Get ready for the big time
Get crazy on the moonshine
Yes I'm movin', I'm really movin'
Sloe gin fizzy, do it till you're dizzy
Give it all you got until you're put out of your misery
Rag doll, livin' in a movie
Hot tramp, daddy's little cutie
You're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy
Don't mind, come on up and see me
Rag doll, baby won't you do me
Like you done before
Rag doll, livin' in a movie
Hot tramp, daddy's little cutie
You're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy
Don't mind, come on up and see me
Rag doll, baby won't you do me
Like you done before
10 Angel (05:35)
I'm alone, yeah, I don't know if I can face the night
I'm in tears and the cryin' that I do is for you
I want your love, let's break the walls between us
Don't make it tough, I'll put away my pride
Enough's enough, I've suffered and I've seen the light
Baby
You're my angel, come and save me tonight
You're my angel, come and make it all right
Don't know what I'm gonna do about this feeling inside
Yes it's true, loneliness took me for a ride
Without your love, I'm nothin' but a beggar
Without your love, a dog without a bone
What can I do, I'm sleepin' in this bed alone
Baby
You're my angel, come and save me tonight
You're my angel, come and make it all right
Come and save me tonight
You're the reason I live
You're the reason I die
You're the reason I give when I break down and cry
Don't need no reason why
Baby, baby, baby
You're my angel, come and save me tonight
You're my angel, come and make it all right
You're my angel, come and save me tonight
You're my angel, come and make it all right
Come and save me tonight
Come and save me tonight
Come and save me tonight
Come and save me tonight
Come and save me tonight
11 Janie's Got a Gun (05:14)
Oh no, honey what have you done?
Oh no no, it's the sound of my gun
Oh no, honey, honey what have you done?
Oh no no, it's the sound
Janie got a gun
Janie got a gun
Her whole world's come undone
From lookin' straight at the sun
What did her daddy do?
What did he put you through?
They say when Janie was arrested
They found him underneath the train
But man, he had it comin'
Now that Janie's got a gun
She ain't never gonna be the same
Janie got a gun
Janie got a gun
Her dog day's just begun
Now everybody is on the run
Tell me now it's untrue
What did her daddy do?
He jacked a little bitty baby
The man has got to be insane
They say the spell that he was under
The lightning and the thunder
Knew that someone had to stop the rain
Run away, run away from the pain
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Run away, run away from the pain
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Run away, run away, run, run away
Janie got a gun
Janie's got a gun
Her dog day's just begun
Now everybody is on the run
What did her daddy do?
It's Janie's last I.O.U
She had to take him down easy
And put a bullet in his brain
She said 'cause nobody believes me
The man was such a sleaze, he ain't
Never gonna be the same
Run away, run away from the pain
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Run away, run away from the pain
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Run away, run away, run, run away
Janie's got a gun
Janie got a gun
Janie's got a gun
Everybody is on the run
Janie got a gun
Her dog day's just begun
Now everybody is on the run (Honey, honey, what's the problem?)
Because Janie's got a gun (Tell me it ain't right)
Janie's got a gun (Was it daddy's cradle robbin' that)
Her dog day's just begun (Made you scream at night?)
Now everybody is on the run
Janie got a gun
Janie got a gun
Her dog day's just begun
Now everybody is on the run (Honey, honey, what's the problem?)
Because Janie's on the run (Tell me it ain't right)
12 Amazing (05:23)
I kept the right ones out
And let the wrong ones in
Had an angel of mercy to see me through all my sins
And there were times in my life
When I was goin' insane
Tryin' to walk through
The pain
When I lost my grip
And I hit the floor
Yeah, I thought I could leave, but couldn't get out the door
I was so sick and tired
Of livin' a lie
I was wishin' that I
Would die
It's amazing
With the blink of an eye, you finally see the light
Ohh, it's amazing
When the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright
Yeah, it's amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight
That one last shot's a permanent vacation
And how high can you fly with broken wings?
Life's a journey not a destination
And I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings
You have to learn to crawl
Before you learn to walk
But I just couldn't listen to all that righteous talk, oh yeah
I was out on the street
Just tryin' to survive
Scratchin' to stay
Alive
It's amazing
With the blink of an eye, you finally see the light
Ohh, it's amazing
When the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright
Ohh, it's amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight
The desperate hearts
Desperate hearts
