Per me nella musica di oggi se vuoi andare avanti devi progredire, o, per dirlo con parole più dirette, adeguarti a quello che "gira nel tuo ambiente", può essere un bene o un male, a seconda di come lo fai.
Per chi già conosce i B.Jaxx, questo nuovo album non sarà uno sconvolgimento totale, ma un bel cambiamento c'è stato: e a mio parere positivo. Sull'onda dei Mouse On Mars, BuckFunk3000, R.Hawtin(aka Plastikman), anche il duo di Brixton ha preso una bella piega sul new sound londinese, producendo un album vario, sia come basi che come cantato. Certo rimane il sottofondo di "allegria trasportante" dei primi due lavori, ma con samples notevolmente più intrecciati, e con traccie che spaziano fra tematiche differenti.
Il risultato finale è un album decisamente al passo con i tempi della scena elettronica, distanziandosi molto dalla scomoda etichetta di gruppo "House" che gli avevano affibbiato in precedenza, ed accostandosi di più verso un ElectroDrum&Bass con quel verve tipico dello "scantinato", senza però estremizzare il genere (vedi A.Twin/Squarepusher)
Consigliato a chi si è rotto del solito "Tunz-Tunz Piripiri" che ci rifilano gli artisti elettronici nostrani, diciamo una elettronica da "domenica mattina" Punteggio 4 perchè nel singolo hanno fatto partecipare un rapper del loro quartiere che fà a dir poco pena (sul rap sono MOLTO ESIGENTE), e che di conseguenza è la traccia peggiore dell'album...ma ora il rap vende quindi...
