In questo sito mancavano i Bolt Thrower, volevo infatti recensire l'ultimo album dei deathster inglesi "THOSE ONCE LOYAL", l'unico di cui sono in possesso....
Un tetro inizio fa incominciare il cd con "At First Light" (Alla Prima Luce) sostenuta da un drumming poderoso col fantastico growl di Willets, poi il basso di Jo Bench entra in scena e con il poderoso drumming ci porta alla fine, delle sirene di un allarme ci aprono a Entrenched (Trincerato), uno dei pezzi migliori dell'album, tutta la canzone è al cardiopalma in cui si sente sopratutto la batteria di Kearns e il basso di Bench, dopo incomicia la canzone migliore dell'album "The Killchain" (Catena di omicidi), che può competere con un pezzo come "Shreds of Sanity" o "Warmaster" sempre dei Bolt Thrower, in Killchain l'headbanging è inevitabile... la canzone è in parte in mid-tempo e in parte ultraveloce, ma solo Killchain vale l'acquisto del disco...
Il pezzo dopo "Granite Wall" (Muro di granito) parte con bel riff a cui si unisce la batteria che fa incominciare un altro pezzo fantastico, dopo c'è la title track "Those Once Loyal" (Quando erano leali) che parte quasi subito col cavernoso growl di Willetts che sostiene quasi tutta la canzone, dopo c'è "Anti-Tank (Dead Armour)" (Contro il carro armato - Corazza di morte) che parte subito col drumming e col basso che fanno una breve lotta poi il drumming guerresco fa tutta la canzone che crea con i riff un'atmosfera battagliera. "Last Stand of Humanity" (Ultimo stadio dell'Umanità) è il pezzo più veloce dell'album, invece in "Salvo" ("Sopravissuto") l'obiettivo è creare proprio l'atmosfera da battaglia, che si raggiunge pienamente, in "When Cannons Fade" (Dove i cannoni scompaiono), l'ultima canzone incomincia con la lotta tra chitarre e batteria dove ha meglio la batteria che ci accompagna verso la fine della dura battaglia....
Questo album è consigliato a tutti gli amanti del death metal, io questo album l'ho comprato a scatola chiusa e non me ne sono mai pentito !!!
