Forest of Equilibrium dei Cathedral è L'ALBUM DOOM PER ECCELLENZA.
Infatti unisce l'impatto dissacrante dei primi Pentagram, con l'urlo straziante del cantato metal di Carcass e soci.
Dorrian proveniente dall'omonimo gruppo death, insieme ad un ensemble alla Black Sabbath, crea un vortice musicale che travolge ogni senso critico e soprattutto pratico sul concetto di lentezza e ossessività.
Infatti, partendo dai riff epic-doom di Comiserating the Celebration e Ebonytears, i chitarristi Jenning e Lehan insieme al cantato di Dorrian, suggellano un inno pachidermico al Sabbattismo più viscerale, unendo album unici come Masters of Reality e Paranoid, e influenze death proprie dei primi DEATH e CARCASS.
Il 3° pezzo, Sepert Evil, è una "dummata" propria dei grandi Pentagram, dove la tragedia greca di Sofocle, non avrebbe mai potuto recitare meglio.
Il 4° pezzo è Soul Sacrifice, dove i Black Sabbath di Into the Void e i Kyuss di Green Machine, trovano una super considerazione, in un vero e proprio vortice onirico.
Infine in Equilibrium, A funeral Request e Reaching Happiness, i Cathedral viaggiano dal doom Classico di Pentagram e Sabbath, alla ricerca di suoni epici e soprattutto onirici, come l'utilizzo del flauto in Happiness.
Insomma un album fondamentale, per chi adora una truce vomitata e un sanguigno epicismo.
