Un urlo lancinante. Il caos. La disperazione.
Analizzare traccia per traccia "Wake The Dead" dei Comeback Kid sarebbe un'eresia. L'opera è composta da un crescendo di emozioni, rabbia e frustrazione, sensazioni esplicate attraverso un sound primitivo ma attuale, caotico ma melodico; il quartetto Hardcore/Punk infatti incarna continui binomi musicali contrapposti tra loro: quando le chitarre tessono melodie la voce urla in modo disperato l'odio e la stanchezza di un'esistenza terrena che inizia a pesare. Testi enigmatici che nascondono sofferenza, ossessioni emblematiche verso la morte che vengono urlate a squarciagola.
I Comeback Kid si confermano come una delle migliori realtà nella scena punk del nuovo millennio dimostrando passione attraverso una proposta musicale coraggiosa, mai banale, intensa, rabbiosa ma allo stesso tempo ragionata. Nell'infinito mare dell'hardcore la band si distingue grazie a un songwriting maturo supportato da scelte melodiche mai fuori dal coro.
Le urla sono finite, il caos si è placato... ma la rabbia rimane dentro.

Wake The Dead è la prova che il hardcore può ancora essere potente e autentico.
