Ci tenevo a completare la discografia ufficiale dei grandissimi Death, quindi mi sono deciso a recensire anche Fate, quinta uscita discografica del gruppo di Chuck Schuldiner. Analizzarlo sembra una cosa abbastanza inutile, dato che si tratta di un best of che non è altro che una compilation da cui sono tratti brani dai primi quattro album, di cui i primi tre sono considerati di un'altra galassia rispetto ai lavori raffinati ed ultratecnici a cui ci ha abituato la band più tardi.
Tanto per la cronaca siamo davanti ad un best of discreto, visto la presenza di alcuni pilastri quali l'immortale "Zombie Ritual", le cattivissime "Mutilation", "Left To Die" e "Baptized In Blood", le ragionate "Spiritual Healing" e "Altering The Future", le songs tratte da "Human", cioè le sensazionali "Suicide Machine" e "Toghether As One", per non parlare canzone-emblema dei primi Death, vale a dire "Pull The Plug", ma bisogna dire che sono molti i "celebri tagliati", e tanto per dirne alcuni cito "Beyond The Unholy Grave", "Leprosy", "Low Life", "Living Monstruosity", "Flattening Of Emotions", "Lack Of Comprehension" e "Vacant Planets".Beh, non mi resta altro da dire su questo Fate, se non altro che vi consiglio di farlo vostro (se lo volete originale però sono cazzi visto che è fuori stampa da molto) solo se siete dei fanatici di questa grande band, visto che è molto meglio possedere tutti i lavori di Schuldiner, ognuno merita pienamente i soldi spesi...
