Tra le innumerovoli raccolte che coprono il periodo che va dal 1974 annata che segna la fine degli STOOGES dopo il marasma dell ultimo concerto al michigan palace e il 1977 anno della rinascita del nostro in piena new wave, questa è sicuramente la piu completa e a differenza delle precedenti vanta una registrazione davvero ottima.
Chi pensa che iggy dopo lo sfaldamento del gruppo sia rimasto solo a farsi in qualche bettola sperduta si sbaglia, infatti è proprio in questo periodo che iggy insieme all inseparabile chitarrista james williamson cerca nuove idee mostrando un certo interesse verso il soul. Passa infatti molto tempo in sala d 'incisione il risultato è un album stupendo (siamo circa nel 1975) ma che vedrà la luce solo nel 1977 con il nome di 'kill city', 7 canzoni sono qua contenute in tutto il suo splendore la raccolta comprende anke il periodo di 'raw power' con alternate tracks e pezzi presi da 'rough power' (il disco senza il mix di bowie).
Oltre alla mitica "jesus loves the stooges" qua in tutti i suoi 7 minuti di decadenza (in molte raccolte cè solo la parte strumentale) . Un disco semplicemente fondamentale con pezzi che a distanza di 20 anni non hanno perso un briciolo di fascino, stooges la piu grande rock n roll band di tutti i tempi.
