Non osereì con il dire che quest'album può stare benissimo tra i 10 più grandi masterpiece death metal di sempre, un album che colpisce l'ascoltatore con soluzioni nuove e fantasiose, un album oscurissimo prodotto venuto alla luce nell'anno 1996, nel periodo in cui il death metal aveva perso in gran parte l'interesse dei primi anni '90 a causa della diffusione dalle terre nordiche del Black Metal (Beh...).
Gli Immolation finora avevano pubblicato solo un album ovvero quel tanto elogiato "Dawn Of Possession, in seguito il gruppo a causa di vari problemi con le case discografiche aveva fatto perdere le tracce di sè ritornando solo con questo caposaldo del genere che purtroppo viene a malapena riconosciuto ma che è il punto più alto toccato nella discografia degli Immolatori insieme al più recente "Close To A World Below". "Here In After" è un album oscuro che spesso ricorda ancora i Morbid Angel ma il suono del gruppo si sta evolendo come si sta evolvendo la tecnica dei chitarristi e sopratutto del grandissimo Bob Vigna, una delle figure più importanti del Metallo Della Morte, Potentissimo e malvagio il growl del cantante bassista Ross Dolan che considero uno dei migliori cantanti del genere e per finire merita sicuramente un elogio il drumming, parecchio tecnico e mai banale.
Oltre alla splendida copertina all'interno dell'album troverete violenza, genialità e oscurità, l'album inizia con "Nailed To Gold" e "Burn With Jesus", violentissimo duetto in cui il gruppo esprime tutto l'odio verso il cristianesimo, si continua con la splendida "I Feel Nothing" con una grandissima prova di Ross Dolan e si finisce con il vero capolavoro dell'album "Christ's Cage", a mio parere una delle miglior canzoni Death Metal di sempre. Fattelo vostro, quest'album è un vero capolavoro ingiustamente dimenticato...
