Scrivo questa piccola rece dopo aver ascoltato e guardato il filmato della nuova "fatica" dei Maiden, ovvero "The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg" tratto da "A Matter Of Life And Death", disco prossimo alla sua uscita e che secondo Harris e soci vincerà due dischi di platino in 1 ora...
Il video in sé è carino, con un'alternanza di immagini dei vecchi Maiden (quelli del Number Of The Beast, del Live After Death e del Monster of Rock del '92) alternati a quelli attuali, lasciando trasparire a tutti i fans una certa nostalgia.
Per quanto riguarda la canzone poco da dire: inizio lento e tranquillo con il basso a farla da padrone, poi esplosione dei suoni con il "solito" riff e la "solita" buona prestazione vocale di Bruce. La parte strumentale nel finale con l'assolo di Murray simile a quelli degli ultimi lavori della Vergine di Ferro.
In sostanza la canzone è piacevole da ascoltare (anche se dura oltre 7 minuti), ma non propone niente di nuovo, sa di vecchio. A questo punto non ci resta che aspettare l'uscita del nuovo disco (che a detta di Bruce è migliore dei precedenti, mahhhh) e il loro arrivo a Milano di inizio dicembre.
