I Pavement sono un gruppo indie rock statunitense nato a Stockton (California), fondato da Stephen Malkmus e Scott Kannberg. Attivi negli anni 1989–1999 e poi riuniti nel 2010 e dal 2022, hanno pubblicato per Matador una serie di dischi diventati pietre miliari del lo‑fi e dell’alternative anni ’90.
