Negli ultimi anni il punk-rock ha letteralmente spopolato, facendo diventare in alcuni casi questo tipo di musica un pò ripetitivo, e nascono casi in cui alcune band si copiano tra di loro. Tuttavia i New Found Glory sanno fare il loro lavoro e portano sempre una piccola nuova novità nei loro album.
Con questo album sono molto migliorati o maturati, forse è il termine giusto, rendendo le melodie più sofisticate ed elaborate. Insomma può accontentare gli amanti del ritornello catchy, e piacerà di più a coloro più esigenti aumentando la longevità del disco. Unica novità sarà l'intro che si ispira all'hardcore californiano. Le novità di cui parlavo prima è l'accompagnamento del violino nel brano ''I Don't Wanna Now'', che secondo me non ha avuto un ottimo risultato, come anche "Over the head, Below The Knees" e la sua chitarra acustica. Un plauso invece per "Failure's Not Flattering" nel quale viene usato un sintetizzatore che aggiunge brio al brano.
In definitiva il disco non offre niente di nuovo ma che diverte e appassiona comunque, sopratutto i brani classici della band come "This Disaster", per arrivare poi al al primo brano "Al Downhill From Hill" che rappresenta in tutto e per tutto lo stile dei New Found Glory, per nulla scontato, che rende questa band l'unica a produrre brani di puro punkrock e che per certi versi riesce anche a rendere originale la composizione dei brani.
Quindi quest' album è perfetto per l'ascoltatore medio cui si rivolgono i New Found Glory.
