The Cardigans sono un gruppo svedese formato a Jönköping nel 1992 da Peter Svensson e Magnus Sveningsson, completato da Nina Persson, Bengt Lagerberg e Lars-Olof Johansson. Hanno raggiunto il successo internazionale con Lovefool (1996) e l’album First Band on the Moon; hanno poi virato verso sonorità più cupe ed elettroniche con Gran Turismo (1998) e più acustiche con Long Gone Before Daylight (2003), proseguendo con Super Extra Gravity (2005).
