Ooooooo finalmente il Macca fa il Macca, a distanza di ben 8 anni dall'ottimo Flowers In The Dirt Paul ci regala (e viste le qualità delle quali è insignito da madre nature song dovrebbe con piu'frequenza!) 1 gran bel disco... fresco vivo suonato con piacere e convinzione del solito e si sente!!!
Alle volte quando sento dischi come questo penso: "Il Macca è pieno di canzoni "ultragodibili" ha degli archivi personali colmi di pezzi con residuati di Beatles il problema è che si diverte a piazzarli in interi album mentre in altri nisba, certo che non sarà così però 1 mezzo dubbio mi viene quando infila "The Song We Were Singing", "The World Tonight", "If You Wanna", "Somedays", "Young Boy" (da quanto non ne facevi una così???? EH???), "Caliko Skies", "Flamming Pie" Cazzarola siamo a metà giusta del disco e la qualità è rimasta così alta?!?!! Ok mi bastano queste per poterti ringraziare mentre lo penso c’è sotto una canzoncina soft delle tue non imprescindibili… 1 riempitivo insomma, ma anke questo suona molto meglio di altre in tuoi dischi trascurabilissimi… questa “Little Willow” invece mi piace bhe’ insomma arrivo alla fine senza grossi problemi e pur accorgendomi che la qualità non è come i primi 7 pezzi tu abbia sfornato una Gran Bel Disco. Caro Baronetto è inutile che fai di tutto per glissare il tuo STRAORDINARIO passato se poi lo sputi fuori tutto (o quasi) in 1 colpo solo... e chiami Ringo alla batteria e ai coretti piazzi Jeff Lynne e Steve Miller (Mica pizza e fichi!!!!) alle chitarre poi fai addddddirittttttttura produrre 2 canzoni a nientepopodimenoche George Martin (il 5’ Beatles)… poi mirando e rimirando tutto il libretto del cd scopro che: "I came off the back of The Beatles Anthology with an urge to do some new music. The Anthology was very good for me because it reminded me of The Beatles’ standards and the standards that we reached with the song..."
E bravo Paul “attingi” più spesso però dai tuoi MERAVIGLIOSO trascorsi... tu che puoi permettertelo...
