1974, siamo al Rainbow Theatre di Londra; ad esibirsi un gruppo di 4 ragazzi da poco sulla scena musicale (il loro esordio discografico, se escludiamo "Queen In Nuce", è datato 1973 con "Queen"). Hanno però già alle spalle 3 dischi, ma non semplici dischi a mio avviso: autentici capolavori.
Il live che ne deriva è magnifico con i quattro in splendida forma, in particolare Freddie con le sue tutine, i suoi capelli lunghi, le unghie laccate in nero...molto diverso dall'immagine che (quasi) tutti hanno del Freddie con giacca gialla, pantaloni bianchi e baffetti del '86, anno del Magic Tour.
Ma soprattutto, la sua voce, che raggiunge vette inimmaginabili, vicino al celestiale! Accanto alla sua splendida interpretazione la grande prova di Brian, Roger e John, quella serata perfetti e carichissimi.
Per quanto riguarda le canzoni, certo ai fan non di lunga data potranno non dire molto, ma a mio avviso sono tra le migliori del loro repertorio e poi come già detto, non avevano una lunga discografia alle spalle; Ecco qui le canzoni:

E' certo un concerto non facile da reperire e neppure di lunga durata, anzi, ma lo consiglio veramente a tutti dato che tra i concerti dei Queen lo considero tra i migliori. Come pubblico certo non c'è competizione con il più famoso Wembley ma a livello di interpretazione a mio avviso è sicuramente superiore.
