Eternal glory fu il secondo demo degli italiani Rhapsody che ne dovettero fare due perchè con il primo (Land of immortals) nn trovarono sbocco nel panorama metal italiano e non, (difficile farlo quando si vuole immettere nel power inserti di violini, cori latini e quant'altro).
In questo mini-cd si trovano la stupenda Warrior of ice (Legendary tales), Land of immortals (Legendary tales) ed Eternal glory in Symphony of enchanted lands. Poi ci sono la breve e strumentale Tears at nightfall, la velocissima e sinfonica Holy wind, Alive and pround il cui inizio mi ricorda tanto quello di Prowler degli iron maiden... ma tranne questo la canzone scorre veloce e orecchiabile. Ultima canzone da citare Invernal fury. Diciamo che questo fu un buon disco per ritagliarsi una scena nel metal e gli amanti del genere ma sopratutto quelli dei Rhapsody lo dovrebbero avere.
Due sono le pecche in questo demo: la registrazione (le chitarre sembrano affogate nella nutella) e la voce che qui ancora non era di Fabio Lione ma di un altro che ora non ricordo. Ultima cosa per chi ancora non la conosce. C'è un gruppo pop americano che si chiama The rhapsody che dopo nove anni e 6 dischi dei veri Rhapsody se ne esce con i copyright e fa cambiare il nome ai nostri italiani che hanno scelto 'Rhapsody of fire' e che hanno fatto sapere che il 25 settembre uscirà il nuovo album intitolato 'Triumph or Agony', che io ho ascoltato in anteprima, ma quella sarebbe tutta un'altra storia...
