Il secondo album dei Rilo Kiley è una godibilissima collezione di brani pop, leggermente più complessi di quelli conenuti in "Take Off And Landings", come dimostra già in apertura "The Good That Won't Come Out", in cui Jenny Lewis tenta di estendere le sfumature della sua (bella) voce, mentre il tappeto sonoro si arricchisce di tastiere ed effetti vari.
La title track sembra confezionata apposta per guadagnare l'airplay radiofonico al di fuori del circuito dei college, ma nonostante ciò, a parte l'assolo un po' scontato a metà brano, resta un ottimo esercizio di classe. "So Long" si addentra in territori beachboysiani, mentre il fingerpicking di "Hail To Whatever You Found In The Sunlight That Surrounds You" è evidentemente ispirato al buon Elliott Smith. La finale "Spectacular Views" è quasi pop-punk, e chiude un buon disco, che però perde qualcosa quando accelera il passo e tenta di allinearsi alla musica più mainstream.
Nonostante ciò, merita comunque un ascolto attento.
