Ci sono casi in cui i difetti di un disco non derivano dall'incapacità del gruppo, ma piuttosto dai limiti del genere musicale in se.
"The Comfort Of Home" infatti assolve il suo compito in pieno, e propone sedici brani di Pop/Punk "at his best", caratterizzati da un ritmo sempre sostenuto (niente ballate melense quindi, come ci si potrebbe aspettare da un gruppo del genere).
Dalla opener (e primo singolo estratto, con un clip che è passato per qualche tempo anche qui in Italia) "Out Of Control" fino alla traccia di chiusura "My Escape" i brani enrano in testa nel giro di uno, massimo due ascolti (e questo è un risultato notevole anche se si tratta di Pop/Punk).
Il mix tra i perfetti riff di chitarra e i ritornelli immediati all'inverosimile è esplosivo: le canzoni ti si appiccicano tutte addosso e ti costringono a premere il tasto repeat a ripetizione finchè non l'hai consumato (e hai consumato anche la canzone).
E qui viene fuori l'altra faccia della medaglia (o del disco): un CD che richiede così poco tempo per essere "digerito" richiede un periodo di tempo altrettanto breve per essere "cagato"... ma questo, come ho già detto, è un problema del Pop/Punk in generale.
