Fis for Fight è il primo album dei Sabaton, rilasciato nel 2001. Si sente enormemente l'acerbità di un gruppo di ragazzi di 20 anni, i suoni sembrano campati a caso eppure non è così,anche se sono effettivamente poche le canzoni di questo album che rimangono nella top playlist personale dei Sabaton, è questo il caso generalizzato di testi come Hellrider, The hammer has fallen e, soprattutto, Masters of the world. C'è da dire che l'indirizzo musicale è tendente al power metal tradizionale, mancano ancora lo sviluppo sul tema della guerra e la pulizia dei suoni, spesso storpiati dalla forza e dalla pesantezza degli strumenti, soprattutto delle chitarre. L'elemento più acerbo e bisognoso di sviluppo è però la voce di Joakim Brodèn, tendente a grattare con la gola pur dandogli la potenza necesseria, il suo elemento carratteristico, ma permettendo di apprezzare la sua capacità nel gestire toni e volumi alti e bassi.
come voto do un 6+, apprezzando soprattutto l'eternità dei testi da cui sono ripartiti per gli sviluppi successivi.
