Non sono mai stato un fan degli skunk anansie, e nemmeno della voce di skin, non mi piaceva affatto il loro approccio con le canzoni fatte bene a livello tecnico ma scarse a mio parere dal punto di vista creativo/sonoro.
Mi ha stupito l'uscita di "fake chemical state" perchè Skin è riuscita soprattutto grazie al suo nuovo gruppo a dare una vita nuova alle sue canzoni e alla sua voce... un cd che parte arrembante con "alone in my room" pezzo la cui voce non sembra nemmeno della stessa skin... il disco va via veloce tra oscillazzioni forti alla skunk e bei lenti nei quali la voce di skin si mescola a meraviglia...
Da sottolineare infine la bellezza di "Purple" che si rifà ai classici tappeti sonori u2 e "take me on" suonata insieme ai 'Marlene kuntz' che nello stile vocale ricorda molto kim gordon dei 'sonic youth'.
