Il dopo Kyuss, per Garcia poteva essere un'immensa delusione, visto il suo carattere particolarmente focoso, ma in realtà Amusing The Amazing è un disco riuscito che unisce lo stoner puro al garage anni '70, con ispirazioni Stooges e MC5.
Il disco breve ma molto solare inizia con un pezzo chiamato "The Prizefighter" nel quale Garcia vocalizza dopo un breve inizio garage e ultima il pezzo dopo due minuti di intenso grunge-stoner.
Successivamente "Muzezli" è una stonerata alla Blues For The Red Sun dei Kyuss, e "Pilot the Dune" il pezzo desertico caldo e ricco di improvvisazioni noise e espolsioni sabbathiane.
Infine "July" avvicina il grunge alla Soundgarden, dopo un annegamento infernale.
Un disco non paragonabile ai primi Kyuss, ma altamente espressivo.

L'EP 'Amusing The Amazing' di Slo Burn rappresenta un riuscito seguito post-Kyuss per Garcia, che fonde stoner rock con influenze garage anni '70 e grunge. Le tracce, anche se brevi, dimostrano energia e varietà, dall'intenso grunge-stoner di 'The Prizefighter' al sound desertico di 'Pilot the Dune'.
