Terzo lavoro per gli australiani The Berzerker. La differenza dai lavori precedenti è minima, canzoni non più lunghe di tre minuti a velocità incredibili e utilizzo di elementi di musica elettronica. Ad un primo ascolto l'album può sembrare tutto uguale ma solo dopo alcuni ascolti iniziano a comparire le varie sfumature di tutte le canzoni.
L'album si apre con un trio di canzoni infernali: "Committed To Nothing", "Black Heart" e "All About You". In entrambe la batteria raggiunge velocità incredibili (il gruppo può vantare il batterista David Gray, entrato nei Guinness dei primati perchè ritenuto il più veloce al mondo) e i riff di chitarra creano un muro sonoro che pietrifica l'ascoltatore. Le successive traccie continuano su questo stile ma non pensate che il ritmo venga allentato, anzi è proprio nella settima traccia "Y" che i nostri Berzerker sfruttano al massimo il batterista.
Da questa traccia in poi le canzoni aumentano di lunghezza ma il ritmo della batteria resta il solito delle traccie precedenti.
L'album da qui in poi non ha più molto da dire almeno fino alle ultime due traccie. La penultima traccia "Silence" spiega tutto da sola, 5:03 minuti di puro silenzio quasi messa apposta per far riposare le povere orecchie dell'ascoltatore. Passata tale canzone è la volta di "Farewell", lunghissima traccia di 20 minuti in cui il ritmo e il riff lento ipnotizzano l'ascoltatore (o lo fanno addormentare).
In definitiva l'album non è adatto a chi si avvicina al genere per la prima volta ed ha bisogno di vari ascolti per essere apprezzato. Il mio voto è 4, non un capolavoro assoluto ma neanche un album da scartare.
