Probabilmente quasi nessuno ha mai sentito nominare questo gruppo, in effetti si tratta di un progetto satellite di due membri dei New Order, per la precisione Gilian Gilbert e Steve Morris, ovvero i due musicisti del gruppo inglese più legati alla sperimentazione elettronica, logico quindi aspettarsi un album con sonorità tipiche "Newordiane".
Il disco uscì nel 1993, subito dopo la pubblicazione da parte dei "NO" di "Republic", e da questo Morris e Gilbert si sono ispirati per la produzione di questo album, che suona molto pop, e la sperimentazione a cui i New Order avevano affidato le loro vite per tutti gli anni 80 stranamente viene messa da parte, a favore di un sound "piatto" e privo di mordente, che alla lunga rischia di stancare, forse il progetto di Morris e Gilbert è in qualche modo meno interessante rispetto a quello di Peter Hook (Monaco) e Bernard Sumner (Electronic), ma merita di essere preso in considerazione, in particolare dai fan dei New Order, che qui ritroveranno un vecchio amico Stephen Hague, ovvero colui che produsse nel 1987 il celebrissimo pezzo "True Faith", in particolare il lavoro di Hague in questo disco è stato quello di produrre alcuni pezzi, tra cui: "Tasty Fish", "Selfish", "The Greatest Thing" (che si apre in maniera molto simile a "World" dei NO), "Feel This Love" e "Ninth Configuration" (probabilmente una delle canzoni più riuscite).
Quasi tutti gli altri pezzi scorrono via in maniera anonima con la voce della Gilbert che accompagna le canzoni senza troppa convinzione. Il disco alla fine non è male, ma consiglierei l'acquisto (ammesso che riusciate a trovarlo) solo ai fan dei NO, che vorrebbero ampliare le loro conoscenze verso i progetti satellite dei componenti del gruppo inglese. Per tutti gli altri consiglierei di dirigersi verso i dischi "ufficiali" dei New Order.
Quasi dimenticavo! La parte artistica dell'album (copertina e libretto) è affidata a Peter Saville, lo stesso che curava (e cura) la presentazione degli album dei Joy Division e New Order.
