In perfetto stile Pennsylvania MetalCore...
Al primo ascolto si rimane davvero colpiti dalla potenza delle chitarre "GROSSISSIME" accordate in SI che sovrastano qualsiasi altro strumento schiacciando tutto come dei cingolati. Le parti stoppate presenti in ogni canzone a volte anche in piu parti dei brani riescono a demolire palazzi di 20 piani... e non scherzo...
Il batterista anche se spesso sovrastato dalle chitarre è abile nel dare il giusto senso ai pezzi con tocchi sempre azzeccati e quasi mai fuori stile.
Purtroppo la pecca di questo genere è la totale assenza del basso... c'e, ma non si sente...
Il cantanto (si fa per dire...) è tutto in scream spesso ha accenni RAP provenienti dall'hardcore più integralista.
E' inutile dire che molti spunti dell'album sono presi da gruppi della scena death melodica scandinava anche se riescono a rimescolare il tutto in chiave hardcore NY.
L'album è composto da 10 pezzi: apre con My hearth bleeds no longer 3:36 di pura potenza, e si conclude con Stronghold pezzo non eccezionale.
Non tutti i pezzi sono formidabili, alcuni pezzi come: Stings of consciense, Monition, Stronghold, Vanishment sono pezzi abbastanza banali e monotoni... la sensazione è quella di dover cambiare pezzo dopo i primi 30 secondi di ascolto per noia ma ci sono gli altri 6 pezzi che sono un vero e proprio capolavoro del metalcore, intensi, potenti e carichi di rabbia ed emozione... si! ho detto emozione.
Concludo... Secondo me è un Album di una band in crescita, ovviamente non ha la maturità di The Oncoming storm ma rimane sempre un album abbastanza valido degno di piu ascolti.
