Sono bravi, e Karen, la cantante, è una che sul palco ci si trova proprio bene.
Per chi non li ha visti Live c'è su Tube il video di "Isis" che la dice lunga. Terzo album sugli stessi ottimi livelli dei precedenti. Un bellssimo singolo "Zero" che apre il tutto. Sono di New York ma si trovano sulla stessa onda dei canadesi Metric.
Gli Yeah sono forse meno compatti dal vivo ma Karen compensa alla grande con la sua voce, presenza e carisma. Quel carisma che un pò manca a Emily Haines dei Metric. Il cd si ascolta bene dall'inizio alla fine. Ma la band va vista anche dal vivo per apprezzarne poi meglio anche il lavoro in studio.
Sono ormai anche loro, come i Metric, un gruppo indie da classifica e un estratto dal secondo album ha raggiunto il 12° posto anche da noi in Italia. Mi importa poco se vanno in classifica, anzi... Che altro dire, qui su Debaser sono parecchio conosciuti.
Se ho ancipato qualcuno che magari si è specializzato sugli Yeah mi dispiace. Ma l'album meritava.
