Mi appresto a recensire un gruppo tedesco che ha avuto il suo boom nel mondo sopratutto negli anni '80 i cui elementi fondamentali che li caraterizzavano erano i riff taglienti e l'incondibile voce del microscopico Udo; spero che abbiate capito di chi mi sto riferendo... gli inimitabili Accept!
E il disco che vorrei recensire è datato nel 1982 e si intitola "Restless and Wild". All'ascolto questo disco mi ricorda una serie di combinazioni e cioè: un terzo AC/DC, un terzo Judas Priest e un terzo sano metal teutonico. Le canzoni sono tutte di grande impatto grazie la voce di Udo, che ricorda Bon Scott; per quanto riguarda le canzoni prese in singolo la migliore secondo il mio parere è la pseudo thrash "Fast as a Shark". Gli Accept quando decidono di alleggerire i toni riescono a dar vita ha dei grandi brani come "Restless and Wild" e "Princess of the Dawn"; altri brani da non dimenticare sono le sfuriate di "Neon Knight" e il perfetto incontro tra l'heavy metal a stelle e strisce e il power tedesco grazie a "Flash Rockin' Man".
Secondo il mio modesto pensiero un grande cd, da ascoltare insieme a "Balls to the Wall", un altro capolavoro di questo gruppo uscito solamente un anno dopo.
