Bloodbath è un supergruppo death metal svedese nato a Stoccolma nel 1998 da membri di Katatonia, Opeth ed Edge of Sanity. La band è nota per l’approccio old school, il suono ‘a motosega’ e il growl brutale. Tra i dischi cardine: Resurrection Through Carnage, Nightmares Made Flesh, The Fathomless Mastery, Grand Morbid Funeral, The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn e Survival Of The Sickest.

Fondatori e protagonisti includono Anders Nyström e Jonas Renkse (Katatonia), Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) e Dan Swanö. Peter Tägtgren ha cantato su Nightmares Made Flesh; Åkerfeldt è rientrato per Unblessing the Purity e The Fathomless Mastery. Il live al Wacken 2005 è uscito come The Wacken Carnage. Nel 2022 è uscito Survival Of The Sickest.
