Avere un amico che ha un negozio di dischi è una bella cosa soprattutto se per principio non vende musica commerciale, se ti manda un email a settimana con tutte le offerte o novità, se ti fa un simpatico sconto e ti porta i dischi a casa.
Generalmente il primo giorno del mese sono euforica, posso cominciare a strisciare la carta di credito con l'illusione che tanto l'acquisto non mi sarà addebitato prima del 15 del mese successivo. Era proprio il 01/03, mi ricordo solo perché era un sabato e io mi aggiravo nel negozietto pronta a portarmi via svariati cd quando mi sono fatta convincere ad acquistare questo disco.
Ho provato, sono sincera, ad ascoltare più e più volte le 23 tracce che lo compongono senza mai provare la minima emozione, il minimo coinvolgimento, il minimo entusiasmo. Ho letto anche recensioni piene di entusiasmo a riguardo che parlano di viaggio nel tempo e nello spazio, di originale rivisitazione dell'elettronica dei Kraftwerk e addirittura di Brian Eno ma non mi hanno convinta.
Ho messo via il disco per poi riprenderlo dopo qualche mese (ovvero oggi) per arrivare a decretare che questo disco non mi piace per niente!
Dopo "Ready Let's Go", intro patetica nel titolo e nei contenuti, si arriva a "Music Is Math" il pezzo sicuramente più movimentato e "radiofonico" dell'album che ricorda però troppo i vari volumi di "Buddha Bar".
Il resto è quasi inascoltabile.
Magari ogni tanto si viene investiti da qualche raggio di luce "Dandelion", da qualche bel riverbero "Sunshine Recorder" ma spesso il lavoro si perde nell'eccessiva sperimentazione fine a se stessa per arrivare alla 23esima traccia dopo averne saltate almeno una decina, abbruttiti di noia.
Ah, mi sono sfogata! Scusa caro L non ti ho mai detto niente e spero tu non legga questa recensione. Uno su 100 te lo passo.
