Ecco un album piuttosto atteso per i fanatici del metalcore e più specificatamente di questo gruppo. I Caliban si sono subito distinti in questo genere con i loro primi cattivissimi lavori che hanno dimostrato la loro qualità come musicisti (meritevoli in particolare cantante e batteria). Dall'album "The Opposite From Within", con il passaggio alla RoadRunner Records, abbiamo avvertito un leggerissimo alleggerirsi della potenza musicale, che comunque non guasta per niente. Questo album sembra un ulteriore passo alla cancellazione della cattiveria che nonostante l'uso frequente di sfuriate quasi black metal e della voce potentissima del cantante, per non parlare dei riff di chitarra puramente thrash, sembra perdere tono.
Per i fans del metalcore è di sicuro un album meritevole, nonostante alcune chiare ispirazioni commerciali: Inizia con una Intro che introduce l'atmosfera del disco, per poi iniziare con la potenza devastante di I Rape Myself, un ottimo pezzo con un riff di chitarra molto trascinante. Segue Song About Killing, gia più cattiva nel complessa ma con un tempo meno sostenuto; un pezzo che in generale rientra nei canoni Caliban già conosciuti e apprezzati in "The Opposite From Within"; It's Our Burden To Bleed, con una partenza puramente black metal finisce e perdere un po' di tono, nonostante la cattiveria che si fa sentire per tutti i suoi quasi quattro minuti (3:48). La successiva, Nothing Is Forever, lascia intravedere qualche spunto più diretto alle nuove generazioni che apprezzano il Nu Metal e questo tipo di musica, con un inizio quasi Foo Fighters, per poi continuare nel classico stile dei Caliban; Together Alone, è secondo me un pezzo non troppo interessante che finisce nel banale, soprattutto dopo aver ascoltato i pezzi precedenti; My Fiction Beauty, con alcuni spunti thrash e qualche sonorità un po più pacata, segue il filo logico del resto dell'album, risultando abbastanza godibile; viene poi No More 2nd Chances, con uno schema alquanto thrash che non ci regala niente di nuovo rispetto a molte altre canzoni dei Caliban, anzi risulta presto ripetitiva; I Refuse To Keep On Living..., con alcune parti pulite troppo calme per quello che dovrebbero fare i Caliban, è un pezzo quasi privo di personalità, probabilmente l'unico finora a non seguire lo schema fisso della band; Sick of Running Away, altro pezzo con parti pulite e poco violente, antitesi rispetto ad altri pezzi come i primi dell'album, non è niente di particolare, e lascia trasparire quasi una ripetitività del gruppo, con dei cori quasi alla P.O.D. ; Moment Of Clarity, il pezzo più cattivo dell'album risulta forse l'unico ad essere ancora ispirato ai primi album del gruppo, nonostante la distorsione sia poco cattiva come ormai ci stanno abituando con gli ultimi lavori; Room Of Nowhere, l'ultimo pezzo, è un'altra fotocopia già sentita mille volte non solo con i Caliban, con un ritornello cantato stile Black Metal ma con una distorsione molto atipica per questo genere.
Alla fine l'album non ha nulla di caratteristico o di particolare, ed è il classico album metalcore come tanti altri gruppi (vedi Killswitch Engage, Demon Hunter, ecc. ); la cattiveria che ha sempre contraddistinto questa band inizia chiaramente a lasciare spazio ad una più consona al mercato "finta violenza", stile Cradle of Filth. La band non ha comunque perso vigore, e per i fanatici del genere l'album potrebbe risultare tutt'altro che noioso. Consigliato solo ai fans del metalcore e dei Caliban...

I Caliban il loro mestiere lo sanno fare, le canzoni sono molto coinvolgenti.
Il dato negativo di questa band è che utilizza un songwriting semplice ma quasi sempre uguale.
