Sara e Dustin si sono incontrati al college e dopo aver scoperto il loro amore per la musica hanno deciso di formare un gruppo, i "DEVICS".
Partiti da Los Angeles sono arrivati in Italia e qui si sono fermati per un anno o per sempre, innamorati della nostra terra, del vino e del cibo, si sono stabiliti in un casale in Romagna e lì hanno registrato "The stars of saint andrea" dedicato ad un posto che si chiama Sant'Andrea.
Oggi 17 febbraio 2006 (magia del web) esce "Push the heart", il loro terzo album, solite influenze PORTISHEAD e anche un pò BLACK HEART PROCESSION, musica sensuale e notturna, capace di solleticare il cuore e farci sognare. Il fascino dei Devics sta nelle loro melodie tenui e immediate, strumenti che sembrano giocattoli creano atmosfere seducenti, la voce languida di Sara Lov sussurra parole che toccano direttamente l'anima.
"Push the heart" è forse ancora più delicato di "Stars of saint Andrea", ma porta dentro di se la stessa bellezza, i tramonti frutto di ispirazione dei nostri amici ora non è più quello della California ma quello delle nostre colline e qualche differenza si sente. "Lie to me" piano e moog usati in maniera atipica aprono l'album, "A secret message to you" inizia con il rumore di una macchina da scrivere che segue tutto il brano contribuendo a creare una distanza fra Sara e l'ascoltatore, "Salty seas" attacca con un duetto fra pianoforte e chitarra e quando entra la voce vi assicuro un'emozione, "Distant radio" è una piccola perla con voce molto sexy, "Moments" è uno dei momenti più intensi, il piano duetta con Sara dolcemente e con fare erotico, "If we cannot see" apre con la voce di Dustin che più avanti si congiunge con Sara, epico, "Come up" chiude l'album, uno dei pezzi più belli.
Difficile rendere con le parole la profondità e l'intensità che "Push the heart" riesce a regalare, le emozioni si susseguono senza sosta, atmosfere magiche e brividi sulla pelle... che le stelle di Sant'Andrea illuminino sempre il loro cielo e che il loro cielo ci rimandi sempre la stessa luce, che adesso tutto è più chiaro...
