Gong

I Gong nascono a Parigi nel 1967 per iniziativa di Daevid Allen e Gilli Smyth. Emblema di space rock e Canterbury, sono celebri per la trilogia Radio Gnome Invisible (Flying Teapot, Angel’s Egg, You) e per un suono che intreccia psichedelia, jazz e humour surreale. Nel tempo hanno visto passare musicisti come Steve Hillage, Pierre Moerlen, Didier Malherbe, Tim Blake e Mike Howlett. La band continua l’attività anche dopo la scomparsa di Allen nel 2015.
