Nel 1984, in pieno periodo N.W.O.B.H.M., esordi' un'altro gruppo metal inglese, che con il loro primo album, cioè "See You In Hell", fece attirare l'attenzione da parte della critica e dei giovani. Cioe' i Grim Reaper. La band con questo disco riuscì ad ottenere un buon successo, il quale sarà ampliato e confermato con i successivi "Fear No Evil" e "Rock You To Hell". In quel periodo, insieme a loro, c'erano band, come i Raven, i Samson, i Diamond Head, gli Anvil e gli Holocaust, che continuavano a proporre musica, supportando gloriosamente la "musica dura".
I Grim Reaper, capitanati dal carismatico vocalist Steve Grimmett, presentarono un possente heavy metal, con piccole influenze speed tipiche degli eighties.
Il disco presenta otto canzoni molto belle, energiche, incisive e potenti, come la furiosa "Wrath Of The Ripper", la bella "The Show Must Go On" (..non e' quella dei Queen!), "Dead On Arrival" e l'epica "Run For Your Life".
L'opener e' la famosissima titletrack, che con il suo celebre ed efficace riff e il ritornello incredibilmente coinvolgente, si rivela uno dei pezzi piu' belli ed importanti dei Grim Reaper. "Dead On Arrival" e' un'altro grandioso hit, dove notevole è la preformance di Grimmet.
"Wrath Of The Ripper" e' suonato in perfetto stile Judas Priest. Infatti la track e' la piu' veloce dell'album ed è notevole l'influenza di Halford & Co.
"Run For Your Life" è un pezzo epico e magistrale dove i Grim Reaper dimostrano tutta la loro abilità e tecnica compositiva. La penultima canzone è la bellissima ballad "The Show Must Go On", dotata di un bell'assolo di chitarra e Grimmett che dimostra a tutti di essere un cantante all'altezza. Una bellissima ballad in pieno stile anni Ottanta che non ha nulla da invidiare alle cosidette "Power Ballad" di gruppi più rinomati, come Poison, Cinderella o W.A.S.P.
