C'era una volta la migliore power metal band del mondo.
Poi sono andati via due pezzi da 90, ma anche da 180, come Kai Hansen e Michael Kiske e sono stati rimpiazzati malamente, ma la band ha continuato sfornando dischi di medio livello ("Master Of The Ring", "Time Of The Oath", "Better Than Raw", "The Dark Ride") poi si è persa, il livello è calato nei lavori successivi, ora siamo alla frutta e marcia pure.
Su Wikipedia a commento di Unarmed è scritto ciò: "è l'ultima raccolta della band power metal Helloween che riprende dei grandi classici della discografia del gruppo dagli esordi a "Gambling with the devil" - 2007 per commemrare i 25 grandiosi anni della band. Tutti i brani presenti sono stati registrati con una chiave diversa dal genere della band proprio per produrre un disco che possa risultare un vero e proprio "best of"".
Tralasciamo che esiste già una raccolta degli Helloween chiamata "Treasure Chest" e che a parte l'assenza di "If I Could Fly" ha tutto, la seconda frase è quella che fa incazzare davvero:
NON HA NESSUNA LOGICA. Non riesco neanche a commentarla, capisco che magari potevano risuonare le loro canzoni per l'eventuale "svecchiamento" delle suddette, ma per carità addirittura cambiare il genere perché? per fare un vero e proprio "best of". Ah sì sì non fa una piega.
Torniamo al disco, penso drogati da qualche droga ma pesante, le rimanenti zucche tedesche si sono messe attorno ad un tavolino ed hanno deciso, "Sai che c'è? Ci facciamo una bella raccoltina" "Ma va'?" "Sicuro ma risuoniamo tutti i nostri classici in versione pop." "Ficata! Ma per piacere passa anche a me quella roba che deve essere veramente buona!"
E' davvero così c'è un sassofono, nessuna chitarra cattiva, tanta tantissima tristezza, "Dr. Stein" senza chitarre può definirsi un incubo diventato realtà.
Questa cosa chiamata disco è un incubo diventato realtà, è una cosa immonda, è spazzatura senza spiegazione, è merda allo stato puro, è il peggior disco che non ho mai comprato, ma chi lo comprerà mi chiedo io? Cioè a che target pensavano gli Helloween o i loro produttori? Ad ex metallari pentiti?
Non c'è nessuna spiegazione, non c'è nessuna giustificazione.
