Per cogliere il significato intrinseco, non solo letterale e legato ai testi, ma anche sonoro del nuovo disco degli immensi Kreator è sufficiente elencare i titoli dei dieci brani: "Hordes Of Chaos (A Necrologue For The Elite)", "Warcurse", "Escalation", "Amok Run", "Destroy What Destroys You", "Radical Resistance", "Absolute Misanthropy", "To The Afterborn", "Corpses Of Liberty" e "Demon Prince".
Immagini di devastazione, orgogliosa rivendicazione e protesta, rivolta a oltranza e lotta contro ogni forma di sopruso, controllo e prepotenza dei (pochi) forti sui (molti) deboli o incoscienti della propria condizione, perché obnubilati da una società che li ha ridotti a schiavi del consumo e del nulla. Quattro anni dopo "Enemy Of God" la band di Mille Petrozza e Jürgen "Ventor" Reil (membri fondatori, ormai ventisette anni or sono), qui coadiuvati da Sami Yli-Sirniö alla chitarra e Christian "Speesy" Giesler al basso, si ripresenta più determinata e agguerrita che mai e un pezzo come la title track posta in apertura ha il compito di esplicitare quello che sarà il contenuto dell'album.
Sebbene il lavoro segni un ritorno a una registrazione meno manipolata in studio e più diretta, al fine di ottenere un risultato tale da avvicinarsi a quello che sarà l'impatto delle tracce in sede live, i Kreator non rinunciano alla loro caratteristica primaria, ovvero la mutazione (che all'apice assoluto li portò a comporre "Renewal") pur in un contesto definito, che nel caso specifico è quello thrash metal.
Trentotto minuti e trentadue secondi di barbarico assalto musicale con un sound dinamico e serrato, pronto ad avventarsi sull'ascoltatore con ferocia inaudita per sbranarlo, tra accelerazioni strumentali fulminanti, groove di granito e acciaio, riff definitivi e cambi strutturali che spaccano! Inconfondibili e unici, si prospettano ancora una volta come leader indiscussi.
