Eccoci giunti alla terza recensione. Tre è il numero perfetto e allora parlerò di un disco perfetto: "Fighting the World" dei Manowar.
Con questo disco i Manowar si sono consacrati Dei del metallo. E' infatti splendido con le canzoni che si fanno ascoltare con grande passione dalla prima all'ultima e scegliere le migliori non è certo facile. Il disco infatti è molto vario: comincia in maniera aggressiva e trascinante con la TITLETRACK "Fighting the World" e poi continua con "Blow Your Speakers", alla terza canzone troviamo "Carry On" la mia preferita. Dopo "Violence and Bloodshed" è il turno della gemma: "Defender" una canzone emozionantissima che mai stanca di essere riascoltata non ostante i 6,01 minuti di durata. La sesta canzone è: "Drums of Doom" che in verità è però solo un intro che dura solo 1,18 minuti e che serve per far decollare "Holy War"!!!!, la canzone che è anche uno dei migliori inni dei metallers. Il disco si chiude con "Master of Revenge" che è l'intro di "Black Wind, Fire and Steel" una canzone veramente potente che affascina chi la ascolta.
Come si può vedere è chiaro che scegliere solo tre canzoni è impossibile, ma se proprio fossi costretto direi:
1) carry on (senza dubbi è la mia preferita)
2) defender (piuttosto banale come scelta ma comunque obbligata)
3) holy war! (L'inno)
Immagino che non tutti penseranno che ho scelto le migliori, ma comunque è normale perchè in un disco del genere scegliere è veramente difficile.
