L'io bianco di Del Naja contro quello nero, I Against I. Anno 2002: Roberto decide di dare un taglio a tutto, vuole estremizzare, vuole fare altro.

Vuole dire basta all'anima nera dell'attacco massiccio, al groove, al TTunzah potente, al 4/4 secco.

Ma non può mollare tutti di punto in bianco, non sarebbe giusto verso chi ha seguito i massicci da sempre. Un ultimo bacio, un dolce addio, è la cosa migliore per tutti.

Un'ultima volta vuole accostare senza fondere i due estremi cromatico-sonori, una stracciatella ben definita, nero e bianco insieme ben delineati, non un grigio che non sa di nulla ma due gusti nella stessa coppetta. Nero contro bianco, I Against I.

Anche Mos è stanco delle solite cose, anche lui è contro se stesso, I Against I. Vogliono farlo sapere al mondo, e glielo regalano, per due mesi dowload gratuito su massiveattack.com (successivamente inserita sulla Blade 2 Sountrack, ma non compratelo neanche morti, se loro me la regalano io me la piglio)

Anche noi debasers siamo contro di noi, è più forte il nostro nick o la nostra persona? Siamo realmente come vorremmo virtualmente? Siamo noi a fare noi o sono gli altri che ci fanno? Chi è più forte fra i due, l'immagine che noi proiettiamo o quella che ci viene proiettata contro e noi proiettiamo di riflesso? Siamo davvero convinti di sapere che immagine proiettiamo?

I Against I, e per quanto mi riguarda siamo come l'inter, perennemente in parità. Ma Roberto invece l'ha capito, ha decisamente vinto il bianco, dico con il senno di poi. Ma al tempo della sua uscita fu uno shock, non si capiva cosa stesse succedendo nella testa di Roberto, si lascia con Tricky per Mos Def? Lascia una Panda per una Marbella? Mi è stato d'aiuto sapere che non sono il solo ad avere la passione per Batman... meglio lui o Bruce Wayne?
