"The Ecstasy Of Gold"... e tutto si fece metallico.
Merda suonata dal vivo. Merda di qualità. Altissima qualità. Merda proposta a Mexico (i tre cd), e poi ancora altra merda, questa volta da San Diego (dvd 1) e pure da Seattle (dvd 2). Sono presenti tutte le dame, da "Master of Puppets", a "Enter Sandman", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam", ecc. ecc.
Che dire. Tre ore che si alternano tra le grida di James, le splendide schitarrate di Hammet, il ruggito della quattro-corde di Newstead e l'immancabili groove di batteria di Ulrich. E che dire del medley di Justice, dei splendidi momenti di "The Unforgiven", di Hammett che durante uno dei tanti assoli prende la sua chitarra per usarla come carta da cesso (?!?), della prova alla batteria di Hetfield e l'assolo di basso di "Orion" (su dvd)... Impossibile descrivere a parole tutte le emozioni che si provano guardando questi concerti, vedere i soliti quattro ragazzi infuocare il mondo in tour, non rimanere incantati dai 18 minuti di "See And Destroy"... l'unica cosa che potrebbe veramente dare fastidio (a me me ne ha dato moltissimoooooooo) è "Master"...troncato prima dell'assolo di James e con conseguente perdita dell'intera seconda parte del brano!
Per tutti coloro che ancora oggi parlano male di Jason, consiglio vivamente il "watching" di questo Live Shit... scoprirete tutta la grandezza dell'ex bassista del gruppo metal per antonomasia. E capirete che Trujillo con il suddetto gruppo non centra un c**** ... :)
Ripeto, nessuna recensione potrà dare l'idea di ciò che sono questi concerti (specialmente i dvd)... quindi l'unico modo per capire il motivo di tanta grandezza è vederli, assolutamente... imperdibile, al 100 %.
