Eccoci ragazzi ad analizzare in anteprima il nuovo lavoro del nostro amato brufolone...ovvero Lemmy Kilmister che a 61 anni suonati riesce fare ancora album come Inferno e il qui recensito Kiss Of Death ora passiamo alla tracklist. Si comincia con la breve (per fortuna) Sucker che a dirla tutta non mi entusiasma, ma poi per fortuna che c'è la fresca e veloce One Night Stand che aggiusta non di poco il tiro dell'album poi a seguire c'è la tritasassi Devil I Know con un bel riffone in pieno style Hard Rock dei vecchi tempi.
Ora è il tempo d ascoltare il potenziale singolo ovvero Trigger una delle perle di quest'album abbellita ulteriormente da un ritornello veramente niente male è la classica canzone scatenante alla Motorhead. Poi è il tempo del riff blues di Under The Gun impreziosita da un'assolo niente male di Phil Campbell un altro ingrediente del muro heavy firmato Motorhead insieme all'ottimo e precisissimo Mikkey Dee.
Poi perdindirindina un'altra acustica! Lemmy ci ha preso gusto infatti è il tempo della maliconica God Was Never On Your Side.Che vede lo schema Strofa acustica-Ritornello elettrico-Strofa Acustica... bhe niente male, una lieve variazione nel sound motorheadiano che calca le orme della bella Whorehouse Blues dell'antecedente Inferno, con la voce di Lemmy meno gracchiante del solito, almeno nella strofa.
Dopo 4.21 di piccola sorpresa, ecco che il buon vecchio Lemmy ti riprende per le orecchie e ti mostra con la sua voce gracchiante chi sono i Motorhead con il riff tipicamente Heavy Metal di Living in the past, canzone carina si ma neanche tutto sto granchè, certo si fa ascoltare senza essere skippata ma non è neanche stò granchè, ma ora è il tempo di tornare ad un bel riff rock n roll, è il tempo d Christine! Canzone che scivola piacevolmente ma non è neint'altro è il preludio alla veloce e bella Sword Of Glory che sa molto di Motorhead ovvero di l'odore di tabacco e benzina! Poi è il momento di Be My Baby una traccia che serve solo ad allungare l'album non è affatto brutta è al classica canzone Motorhead, riffone pesante ma non in maniera eccessiva, veloce,voce gracchiante. Poi c'è Kingdom OF The Worm una delle canzoni che, insieme a Sucker, mi piacciono di meno in tutto l'album. Meno male che ad apparare c'è Going Down una bella canzone sul serio riffone veloce di Phil e grande lavoro dietro alle pelli dell'impeccabile Mikey Dee.
E così finisce Kiss Of Death. Bell'album alla Motorhead niente di più niente di meno penso che si sa a cosa si va incontro quando si mette nel lettore un album firmato Motorhead no? Bhe se proprio devo dire qualkosa lo giudico inferiore a Inferno anche se non di molto. Meriterebbe un 3 ma gli metto 4 perchè sarebbe bello arrivare a 60 anni e fare ancora album come questi
