Una miscela esplosiva nella quale Grindcore, Brutal, Death e architetture Progressive si fondono. Nitroglicerina 100%.
Questa è l'essenza di Epitaph, ultimo album dei tedeschi Necrophagist.
Un album tecnicamente perfetto, ma con un pizzico di ripetività, che comunque, non sminuisce il valore.

Tutti musicisti con poco da invidiare tecnicamente ai Dream Theater.
Tutto questo macello sonoro è composto da un cantato growl serrato ed estremo (che sputa liriche degne dei Cannibal Corpse), riffs serrati e potenti, assoli veloci ed estremamente tecnici, basso molto proggante (stupendi i primi 5 secondi di Only Ash Remains) e batteria in doppia-cassa perenne. Le migliori sono Epitaph, Stabwound e Only Ash Remains.
Un album per chi ama la violenza trasmessa sul piano musicale (ma anche per la violenza fine a sé stessa), per chi ama tecnicismi e virtuosismi portati al limite e per chi vuole semplicemente scatenarsi e devastarsi (consigliato il pogo di gruppo dopo 15 birre).
Uno degli album più tecnici che abbia mai potuto udire.
