I Nightwish ora sono uno dei più importanti gruppi metal mondiali e il gruppo finlandese che ha venduto più copie in tutto il mondo, grazie soprattutto al successo dell’ ultima fatica “Once”. Inoltre anche il singolo “Nemo” ha avuto un successo inaspettato anche nell’ambito non metal, senza contare l’atmosferico videoclip in rotazione in molti canali musicali: persino MTV, in genere restia verso la musica metal, ha mandato in onda “Nemo”, anche se in orari impossibili.
Insomma, ormai i Nightwish fanno parte “del giro grosso” e spetta alla nuova etichetta Nuclear Blast promuoverla per il meglio: questa mette in circolazione ben 4 versioni differenti: la versione normale, la versione digipack (con in più il video di Nemo), la versione DVD e la versione limitata in vinile. Roba da far strappare i capelli anche al più grande collezionista e al fan più sfegatato!
Il mio singolo contiene “Nemo”, “Placet Hell”, “White Night Fantasy” e la versione orchestrale di “Nemo”. “Nemo” è il pezzo che tutti conosciamo: accattivante e piuttosto semplice nella struttura. Ma nonostante ciò è un pezzo che convince in pieno. “Planet Hell” è un ottimo pezzo, contenuto in “Once”, grintoso e avvincente grazie anche all’uso delle orchestrazioni. “White Night Fantasy” è una dolcissima ballad dove Tarja dimostra una versatilità non indifferente. Chiude il singolo la versione orchestrale di “Nemo” dove il pezzo assume una dimensione ancora più magica e fatata.
Tirando le somme è un buon singolo, ma ne sconsiglio l’ acquisto a tutti coloro che non sono fans della band finlandese.
