Questo album è stato pubblicato (in serie limitata) nel 1992 per promuovere il tour australiano dei Nirvana, ma in seguito fu pubblicato anche in Giappone nella medesima versione con una diversa copertina.
Questo disco contiene sei canzoni: Turnaround (cover dei Devo), Aneurysm, Son Of A Gun e Molly's Lips (entrambe covers dei Vaselines) che possiamo trovare anche nell'album Incesticide uscito nel Natale del 1992; Even In His Youth che é stata pubblicata nell 1991 come B-side del singolo Smells Like Teen Spirit; l'unica inedita è D-7,cover dei Wipers rielaborata in una versione grunge molto aggressiva.
Appena uscito Hormoaning probabilmente deve essere stato una chicca davvero interessante per tutti i fans dei Nirvana ma ora, a mio parere, rappresenterebbe un aquisto untile solo per i collezionisti dato il suo costo e la sua difficile reperibilità.
Resta comunque degno di nota per la sua importanza storica.
