Mott the Hoople sono un gruppo rock britannico formato nel 1969. Guidati da Ian Hunter (voce, pianoforte) con Mick Ralphs (chitarra), hanno unito slancio glam e vena hard rock. Nel 1972 David Bowie scrisse e produsse All the Young Dudes, rilanciandone la carriera. Ralphs lasciò poi per fondare i Bad Company con Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke e Boz Burrell. Tra i titoli chiave: Brain Capers (1971), All the Young Dudes (1972), Mott (1973) e The Hoople (1974).
