I Savatage... Uno dei gruppi più sottovalutati di sempre... La loro discografia è di un livello qualitativo strepitosi con i picchi di "Gutter Ballet" e "Streets". Consiglio a chiunque non li conosca di reperirne la discografia ed ascoltare tutti gli album soprattutto da "Gutter Ballet" in poi perché qui si parla veramente di un grande gruppo rock-metal.
"Fight for the rock" esce nel 1986 ed è il quarto album del quartetto della Florida. E' indubbiamente l'episodio più debole della loro discografia, per loro stessa ammissione, e dopo l'uscita e il seguente tour ci fu addirittura il rischio che la band si sciolse.
L'album è contraddistinto da una pessima produzione, dovuta soprattutto a due manager inglesi che tutto fecero tranne che aiutare il gruppo a farsi notare in Europa. Le uniche canzoni che meritano un ascolto più approfondito sono "Lady in disguise" in cui si sente qualcosa di quello che saranno i Savatage in futuro e "Fight for the rock" che nonostante tutto risulta bella potente.
In conclusione un album da avere solo dopo aver ascoltato tutti gli altri, per non rischiare di farsi una cattiva opinione di uno dei migliori gruppi che la scena metal ci ha proposto.
